I was born and raised in Zimbabwe. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been passionate about reading, and I have always loved browsing books at libraries. When I was in elementary school, I would watch TV shows and write short plays based on the shows. In high school, I wrote a couple of short stories for fun. I started writing novels when I was in college, mostly children’s novels. I also wrote short stories for kids and teens. For graduate school, I went to Hamline University where I earned an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults.  I worked on middle grade novels and picture books. Most of my stories are set in Zimbabwe. I’ve always been surrounded by books and even in elementary school, I had bookshelves stacked with a variety of novels.

When I’m not writing, I like to spend time with family and going to parks and sightseeing.
